Batman Vs. Bibleman

Ok let us be real honest for a second and say Batman is the greatest super hero in the history of the galaxy (and for all you Superman advocates you can shove it) Batman is totally my favorite, but as Christians we cannot let our children watch such horrible shows such as Batman, we must make a knock off... Thus Bibleman was born, fighting the enemy with the armor of God. (yes cheesy I know) what is even worse is that the quality is so poor. I mean really people if you want to combat something like Batman you should at least make it look like it wasn't filmed with a $4 digital camera or a cell phone camera. Put some work into it. Now I do not know if you have ever watched Bibleman, I will go ahead and say I saw it live and I had a poster (REPRESENT!) Right next to my Batman poster! What if they battled? Would Batman or Bibleman prevail... Let us find out.

1. First battle point goes to... Batman.
Batman leaped from a skyscraper crashed through a window and beat up about 15 guys and then hooked on a plane and flew back out of the window he came in, top that Bibleman... He cannot. Batman was trained by the League of Shadows, whilst Bibleman was just some rich guy who chose to be a superhero... hmmm familiar sounding... Oh ya Batman is exactly the same. batman has cooler gadgets though and if it came down to the fist fight to death, batman would surely have the upper hand.

2. Second battle point goes to... Bibleman
He has a black sidekick, you cannot beat that. Robin is little sissy girl (especially in that God awful movie Batman and Robin) until of course he becomes Nightwing who is simply off the hook. Conrad (Bibleman's sidekick) is actually decent and can hold his own... Oh and did I mention he is diverse, which gives Bibleman the nod on this one.

3. Third battle point goes to... Batman.
Ah here we are, gadget time. Basically Bibleman and Batman are the same minus a few differences. Both are rich and chose to be good vigilantes to save their selected cities, both have gadgets and what not, but Batman is superior. He has everything and have you seen the Batmobile lately? Bibleman's $7 dollar lightsaber he confiscated from a child in church does not match up to the awesomeness of what is Batman all around, and really Bibleman, a lightsaber? That makes me mad on so many levels because he has not been trained in the Jedi arts. HE HASN'T! I know what you are thinking, Luke had his Lightsaber before he finished all his training. blah blah blah, Luke Skywalker saved this galaxy impending doom, the only thing Bibleman has saved us from is laziness. So in the end Batman would destroy the lightsaber and slice open Bibleman with his batarang end of story.

4. The fourth point goes to Bibleman
He is a christian superhero and since this is a christian blog I have to give him props for that, although considering how opposed to homosexuality we are in the church, could we have picked a gayer looking superhero... More to come later. He does serve Jesus and puts on the armor of God, so since God is helping him he would have Batman there.

5. The fifth point goes to Batman.
Bibleman wears purple which is super gay. Batman wears slick black and it looks PIMP. Therefore, everyone would agree Batman based on sheer looks would win.

6. THE WINNER IS BATMAN
Come on guys, did you expect different... Batman faces off with people like the Joker and two-face, the toughest foe Bibleman faces is the Lord of Greed. So in the end Batman would win out because he is pure awesome. Bibleman does have like 4 sidekicks which is a bit much, but maybe if he didn't carry that lightsaber and wear purple he would be better. It wouldn't even be a fight. Batman wins out in this one... Better try next time Bibleman, maybe you should get a producer.

But be on the watch out for the upcoming movie Bibleman versus Damien:The Child from Hell, set to release this year... Will it be better than the Dark Knight?
HAHAHAHA no, it won't even be close.

It is going to be pimp

After Sermon Thoughts

First of all thank everyone who has responded to me about my message tonight, for those of you who did not see it, I am going to attempt to post it online, which should be cool if it actually happens. I had so many twitters, texts, and phone calls about how touched they are. Thank you, but it wasn't me, it was all GOD and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
This just confirms I need to be in ministry period.

I talked about getting people to act for the Lord, Normal christians and why we suck. I simply talked about how we don't do anything at all as Christians and how one day we will have to answer to God about all the people we have we didn't reach. How we will have to watch person after person be cast into hell because we can't get over our pride and fear to even talk about our JESUS to our closest friends and relatives.

Anyway, I am so drained right now I can barely function.
I LOVE JESUS!!!!

Amen

Preaching. Wednesday. Be there.

So I am speaking at North Park on Wednesday and you should come.

1. Both T.I. and JT will be there.
Actually I doubt they will actually come, but they might get a shout out, and who knows me and T.I. are pretty close and he will be a meager thirty minutes away so he might show his face.

2. Worship will rock.
The rumor is they are singing Healer by Hillsong which totally is my favorite worship song right now.

3. Jesus will be there.
That is a given I think, Jesus Lives at church.

4. It will be fun.
Just come you know you want to
And whoever gets Anne Jackson to come gets bonus points and all my love.

Why I have a crush on Anne Jackson

Ok first things first, just look at how cute this picture is, not only is Anne Jackson a beautiful creature of God she is posing next to a girl who is from another country, this just shouts "I LOVE JESUS AND I'M HOT!" Yes I know this may seem silly, and only Jesus himself knows how embarrassed I will be is Anne happens to grace this blog with her wonderful presence (and somehow I just know Pete Wilson, who follows me on twitter, will tell her about it and here she comes marching down the internet highway to my site and then see how madly in love with her I am and it could just get awkward and we could never get married and start a family band and travel across the country, then what would I do with my life!) So anyway, if you do not know who Anne Jackson is, she is on staff at Cross Point Church and is the author of Mad Church Disease. I love her and here is why.

1. Flowerdust.net rocks my socks off.
Ok if you aren't as obsessive about reading awesome blogs as I am, then maybe you have not quite come around to hers yet because you are too busy browsing Tonymorganlive.com for the 100th time that day to notice the beauty and wonderment that is flowerdust.net. I frequent this blog quite often (and if you want to go there now, after you finish this post of course, click on her name to your left and it will take you right there.) This blog is full of insight and I love to read it. Anne Jackson truly has an awesome heart for the Lord and if my blog is the only one you read, forsake reading mine and just hang out on hers, not only can you grow, but you can look at her pretty face.

*Side note: this is gotten out of hand I know she is married, but in the Christian World we don't have that many girls whome we can hang posters above our beds of, minus Ruth of course, but my Ruth poster is getting tattered so I figure it is time to replace it with Anne Jackson. A guy can dream right?

2. Her books looks like it will be awesome.
I just finished reading Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan and my book Mad Church Disease By Anne Jackson is somewhere in the mail, you know how Amazon can be, and so when it gets here I am going to tear it up. There is a sample chapter on her blog which rocks my socks, and you should go read it, or just borrow the book from me when I am done, either way. Or order it from this link

3. She is on staff at Cross Point.
Do I even need to elaborate? Cross Point rocks my socks off! (Twice I have used the phrase rocks my socks off in this post) If you have spent anytime around me listening to me talk about the religious figures I really really like, you know Pete Wilson is high on my list (and I could have done why I had a crush on him, but God would have smited me in a second for even alluding to a homosexual thought) so I thought better of it. If you aren't familiar check them out right here
http://www.crosspoint.tv/
Lifechurc.tv just wishes they were as cool.

4. She has a great heart.
If you are in the Alanta area for Catalyst One Day then you should stay in for off the blogs because she will be there with Jon Acuff and Pete Wilson and it will absolutely rock.
I love her, I just hope I can find someone as awesome as her one day to marry...
Any takers?

Wow this just turned into an advertisment for Anne Jackson. Hey what can I say the perfect Proverbs 31 woman deserves a post like this.
Love Anne Jackson and you should too

Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan a Formal Review by CJ Carr

I follow Tony Morgan on twitter and when I saw that I had a chance to get his book for free, I had to jump on it. Right from the beginning I could tell I was going to love every minute of it, but then he threw me for a loop because the book basically consists of a bunch of random ideas thrown together into one book. (In his defense he does preface this in the introduction but it is not what I expect from a book) The book though has such great insights on life, especially when it comes to churches, every aspect of church is mentioned in this book, including the oh so important website building, and since one day I aspire to have a church of my own I found this book to be one awesome read and very insightful. One of my favorite chapters was the one about finding that Mrs. Right. Being a single guy I enjoyed hearing about marriage and about finding that special person that is right for me. If you are looking for a book that has one giant overlying point that is brought together over 200 pages then this probably is not the book for you, but I think YOU should pick up this book because it is 100% pure awesome, especially if you plan to have a church of your own, or just to be a leader in a church because Tony is one of the most brilliant people I know, and New Spring just happens to be one of my favorite churches in the world. So I urge you to pick up a copy of it today, well or at least pre order it, because when I got my sweet PDF copy I could not stop reading it. It is like eating an ever changing piece of fruit, every bite tastes different and that is what I love about this book. Usually books can wear you down, beating the same dead horse they have been talking about for 50 chapters over and over again, but this book is the exception. So please if you are a church leader or wanting to be one, pick this book up because Tony will guide you in the path of an awesome church. It talks about culture and how that affects the church today, unlike the church of the past where the church was the ONLY thing going on, now a days we have to deal with all this extra stuff and we as a church need to break out of the mold and become the church of the present not the church of yester year. Also for all you lifechurch.tv fans out there, there is an interview with Craig Groeschel and many other innovative church leaders, which equals awesome. Overall I would give this book a 4.5/5 stars (I would make a sweet little star thingy, but sadly I do not know how to do that) Great read, Great Insight, Great Guy. Order your copy today at
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0805447857/tonymorgan-20
You won't regret it I promise.

Why keep killing cockroaches, forever bogged down in the mundane and small details, when you could be making a big impact with your leadership and life?
